Phantastes: By George MacDonald – Illustrated

The story centres on the character Anodos (“pathless”, or “ascent” in Greek) and takes its inspiration from German Romanticism, particularly Novalis. The story concerns a young man who is pulled into a dreamlike world and there hunts for his ideal of female beauty, embodied by the “Marble Lady”.

Hands-On Songs: Old Macdonald Board Book

A child’s language development is strongly influenced by the close sharing of well-known songs and rhymes, while actions and movement aid coordination. The Hands-On Songs series keeps this valuable oral tradition alive, with the added benefit of encouraging actions through mime and ASL signs.
